Higher Ground, our signature leadership development series, is a series of programs that are designed to keep our company ready for strategic growth. These programs develop high potential leaders in a way that prepares them for the next step in their career, focusing on the most impactful skills specific to making leaders successful at Vail Resorts.

How are participants selected?

Effective participations election requires collaboration between leaders and HR. Participants are selected based on the Company’s succession plan-who is ready for what role, when will they be ready for it? Combine the succession plan with the company’s strategic growth plan, and we end up with areas in which to focus our development programs.
